Ok, well handy Jen and Liz is more like it. A few weeks ago I helped my sis make a headboard. I got a very cool new compressor and finsih nailer kit for Christmas and just haven't had much opportunity to do anything with it yet. So when Liz said 'I need furniture' ...well I said 'let's make something!'.
First we built a wood frame based on measurements of her King size bed. This took the bulk of the time and I used my handy dandy nailer and circ saw to get the job done. The next weekend we upholstered the frame with thick batting and the fabric she had chosen to match the bed. We made some buttons and attached them. Last we painted the legs black.
The total project took about 8 hours I think (plus shopping). Here is the result:
Looks pretty good for less than half the cost in store! LOVE IT!
